COVID-19 is transforming our social and political lives – presenting new challenges and new opportunities. We feel that this moment demands grassroots leadership. We need to ensure that as we recover from this crisis, we do not go back to business as usual, but instead take this opportunity to build and sustain caring, low-carbon communities.
That's why the Cedar Trees Institute has partnered with grassroots leaders from Common Vision, Common Action to host a virtual Townhall for the Victoria region. On Monday, April 20 from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm, join academics and activists from across Greater Victoria to develop a Regional Vision for how we, as a community committed to ecological and social justice, should change in the aftermath of this pandemic.

Jenn Neilson (Common Vision, Common Action organizer)
Ben Isitt (Councillor)
Dr. Keith Cherry (Cedar Trees Institute, Centre for Global Studies, UVic)
